Guest blog and big contest from A Baked Creation

This is Rachel here - we are winding up our guest blogs (there is one more I have to post from last year) and are so grateful to A Baked Creation for this fabulous contest. My apologies for getting it up so late in the year, it was meant for January 1st but I'm sure you will all be more than happy to enter their contest now! Also, how adorable are their cupcake shots?

Hello! This is Sylvia and Howard from A Baked Creation and we love cupcakes, creative designing, and eating. We are very excited to be guest blogging on Cupcakes Take the Cake - especially on New Years! Thanks to Rachel, Stacie, Nichelle, and Allison for satisfying our cupcake cravings year after year!

My favorite is Number 8 which fits me exactly!!:" Speaking of eating, I should exercise regularly to keep fit"
I haven't excercised in who knows how long! I'm a pastry chef, so I've been too busy eating all of my cupcakes to even pay the slightest attention to excercising!!

Oh, and a New Year's resolution of mine is to floss after every cupcake...uhh...I mean meal....no cupcake! There, I told the truth!
I think I might need some more flossing resolution-practicing, so I think I might eat some more cupcakes!!! That will get me into the swing of flossing!...MWAHAHA!

I hardly ever venture out of my comfort zone especially when baking!

#3 - Branch out and try something new. I need to get out of some ruts! This would include learning to use a pastry bag with different tips to frost cupcakes.

#9 (blushing slightly). Icing is a food group, right? Sometimes I use milk in mine. Milk is healthy. I'm pretty sure that, scientifically, the milk couteracts the fat and sugar. Pretty sure.

My new years resolution is to not be so critical of my own work. We are our own worst critic and sometimes that gets in the way of being creative. Happy 2009 to you all!
