You're going to have to wait until April 2009 to try Cocoa Bakery & Cafe in Jersey City, New Jersey (unless you want to order custom cupcakes).
But these pretty cupcake photos from their Facebook page were too luscious not to post:
fondant flower, vanilla cake, buttercream frosting
vanilla and chocolate cupcakes topped with a buttercream frosting and accented with hand-molded and hand-painted fondant flowers, with a top tier minicake with a fondant frosting, also accented with flowers. (Happy Birthday sign also edible, made of fondant)
Cocoa Bakery & Cafe will be helmed by Nobu and Nobu Next Door pastry chef Jessica Isaacs who was quoted on Serious Eats as saying: "I don’t think I will be following the same blueprint [as Nobu], and will work more closely with traditional items, but they will definitely have my own take on them—you will know when you bought something from Cocoa."

I'm not trying to be mean, this is something I worry about with my own frosting.
The chocolate frosting swirls are cute, and shiny and I think they look lovely. But does anyone fear that they look like little poos? I always worry about that when I do mine with the thicker nozzle.
And you won't believe this, but my word verification is 'bumittie'!
I think they're beautiful :) love, love, love the little fondant flowers!
We'll be at the Newport NA's festival in Jersey City on Oct 3.
