Diet Coke and Nutella-frosted cupcakes?

Diet Coke and Nutella-frosted cupcakes? A bit unusual, but so what? I'd snarf one.

Diet Coke Cupcakes with Nutella Frosting

"1 box yellow cake mix
1 can of Cherry Vanilla Diet Dr. Pepper
1 tsp Nutella per cupcake
Swirl nutella with a toothpick and bake according to the box's directions.

Result...Amazing! "


Not sure if Diet Coke or Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper was used though. Maybe the photographer will let us know?

I've heard of this in Weight Watchers, minus the Nutella. It's a way to have cupcakes without the added oil and eggs. You use diet soda only with your cake mix and it turnes out pretty decent cupcakes... or at least similar to what you'd get if you followed the box directions. Just a little stickier. I might have to try this.
