Cupcake Social 2.0 and SXSW Highlights

Cupcake Social 2.0 at SXSW

Rachel and I have been on whirlwind trip to Austin for SXSW so we've been quite busy. Lucky for us, there were cupcakes everywhere. The Cupcake Social 2.0 held on Sunday was a big success. We had over 12 dozen cupcakes and over 100 people stop by the Tiniest Bar in Texas for cupcakes.

Thanks to our cupcake sponsors:

Cakes by Bridges

The Cupcake Bar Austin
Lisa from Delish Cupcakes
L's Cupcakes
PolkaDot Cupcakes
Sugar Mama Cupcakes
Toot Sweet Cupcakes
and there's one more baker who make delicious praline cupcakes who name escapes me right now.

Hanging with Babette of Bakespace

One of the wonderful things about going to SXSW was meeting cupcake lovers, food bloggers like Addie Broyles, Tipsy Texan, and Emily Farris, food start-ups like Foodzie and BakeSpace. It was a pleasure to meet Babette from BakeSpace in real life as she has been a friend to Cupcakes Take The Cake for years and was of the sponsors last year's Cupcake Social 2.0 at the Delancey. For the uninitiated, BakeSpace is an online community of bakers, cookers, fryers. It is a place to find and share recipes.

We have already decided to come back next year. Cupcakes Take Austin!
