We told you last month about cupcakes and tea at the Ritz-Carlton in New York. It's on from yesterday through May 17th, and even Forbes is talking about it. I totally want to try it! A little pricey at $25, but probably worth it for 5 cupcakes (I wouldn't pay $5 for a cupcake regularly, but for a fancy, elegant tea, once, sure!):
Guests are treated to this pre-selected quintet of red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, orange cake with Tahitian vanilla filling and butter cream frosting, lemon chiffon cake with vanilla-bean buttercream frosting, Valrhona chocolate cake with whipped chocolate ganache frosting, and Tahitian vanilla cake with vanilla-bean buttercream frosting.
