Edible book cupcakes

Book: The Tale of Peter Rabbit
Author: Beatrix Potter
Baker: Carissa Graham

All photos via Parkland Library Cupcake-a-Book Flickr set

I'm very late in posting these, so my apologies - they're from back in April, from Parkland College Library's National Library Week Cupcake-a-Book contest. The big winner was Carissa Graham, whose Peter Rabbit cupcakes are pictured above.

These were the instructions:

On Wednesday, April 15, the Library and Student Life will have our Inaugural Cupcake-A-Book Contest! Pick a favorite or well-known book, and decorate cupcakes to reflect that book's title, characters, or plot line. The submissions will be displayed in the College Center from 10am-2pm, and people can cast a vote for their favorite design by donating money to the Garden Hills Homework Club. Winners will receive bragging rights and a certificate declaring their victory!

Do check out the entire Flickr set - it's very fun and creative, and anything that promotes reading is awesome in my book (ha!).
