Two recent announcements were made about upcoming Iron Cupcake events. See Iron Cupcake: Earth for information about what Iron Cupcake is and how to organize your own event, plus the latest Iron Cupcake baking competition details.

Carrie at Fields of Cake is organizing Iron Cupcake: Mid-Coast Maine. She posted:
Our first challenge will take place at Little Dog Coffee Shop on Main Street in Brunswick, Maine on Saturday July 18th...we are still deciding on a time.
And "What is the challenge" you ask??

See her post to get in touch with her.
And the following was posted on Utah food blogger blog The Utah Hive:
Hey fellow foodies,
Kitchen doughdough here with some exciting news...I am starting up the Salt Lake City chapter of IronCupcake:Earth! I will let you know the exact details soon, but expect a fab night at So Cupcake in July for our first challenge! If you haven't heard of IronCupcake yet, click here to check it out. You can also check out Kingdom Cake's site and click on their Iron Cupcake link to see a great example of what their local chapter is doing. And just so you can get your creative batters flowing, I'll let you know that our first theme is going to be Utah. You can use an ingredient that reminds you of Utah, create a cupcake for Pioneer Day, or just get creative with how a cupcake could represent Utah! I'll post more info soon...
