Macaroon sells cupcakes

I just discovered these photos and this new cafe via the above photo. It's from a new place called Macaroon by Alison Seagrave. Seagrave was the first female head chef for the Second Floor of Harvey Nichol's. Here's how Macaroon by Alison Seagrave is described on its site:

Macaroon is a patisserie with chairs, serving home made cakes and desserts to eat in or take away. There will also be a range of hot drinks, home made light lunches of soup, salads and sandwiches available to eat in. Come and see us at 569 Bury Road, Bamford.

You can also keep up with them on Twitter, where Seagrave recently posted about making white chocolate pistachio cupcakes and custard cream cupcakes!

Now, when I first saw the photo above, I thought "Jammy Dodger" was a person, like from a nursery rhyme. But it's not, which I'm sure our British readers know. From Wikipedia:

Jammie Dodgers are a popular British biscuit, made from shortbread and raspberry flavored plum jam. They are produced by Burton's Foods at its factory in Cwmbran.

I love what I learn from this blog, and discovering new (to me) cupcake flavors!

I like that they also serve other treats, and sandwiches, because, well, I like to alternate, salty/savory, then cupcake, salty/savory (or, okay, something healthy like fruit or veggies), then cupcake.

Why does it cost more to eat your cupcake in the store?
