More cupcakes in fiction

They're a ways away, but more cupcakes in novels are coming our way: (via Publishers Marketplace)

Fiction:
Women's/Romance
Sarah-Kate Lynch's DOLCI DE LOVE, the follow-up to HOUSE OF DAUGHTERS, following the adventures of an American who becomes the only cupcake baker in Italy, to Denise Roy at Plume, for publication in 2011, by Stephanie Cabot at The Gernert Company (NA).

Children's:
Middle grade
NYT bestselling author Lauren Myracle's FOURTEEN, the newest in the Eleven/Twelve/Thirteen series, this time featuring Winnie's encounters with sea turtles, romantic cupcakes, and all the fun and friendship fans have come to expect, to Julie Strauss-Gabel at Dutton Children's, in a good deal, for publication in Summer 2010, by Barry Goldblatt at Barry Goldblatt Literary (NA).

Update: Just looked her up and it turns out that New Zealand author Sarah-Kate Lynch is no stranger to writing about cupcakes. They're on the cover of and play a role in her novel On Top of Everything, which is only available in New Zealand.

my husband gave me this book for christmas. it was a quick and fun read. no cupcakes per se in the book, but a baking theme nonetheless.
