Erica Streisfeld of the Harrisburg Food and Wine Examiner has thrown down an icing-covered gauntlet by announcing the first-ever Harrisburg Cupcake Contest.
The contest is open to bakers of all skill levels. Cupcakes will be judged on creativity as well as taste. Date and location to be announced.
Open to all local tweeps and facebookers, Streisfeld will cover the event on her food and wine blog and the winner will be featured in her column.
