How to make ice cream cone cupcakes with Liv Hansen

This video is via Howdini (and YouTube), which gives this description:

These cupcake cones might be the most delicious optical illusion you’ll ever taste. Professional baker and author Liv Hansen for the Betty Crocker Kitchens shows how to make these clever cupcake “ice cream cones.”

There's more info in this Betty Crocker cookbook, apparently, though I haven't personally seen it (click through to read more about it on Amazon):

What about you? We'd love to hear your experiences with making ice cream cone cupcakes. I think they are just one of the funnest things ever!

I've made ice cream cone cupcakes before and they turned out great, until I had to figure out how to keep them standing up. The cone base does not really support cupcakes. You need some kind of holder.

That is so creepy. I work at a bookstore and my coworker just brought me this book today! I'm going to make the bunny cake that's in it, too!

Hi! This is the first time I'm posting even though I've been reading for a while now.

I was so surprised when I read today's post, because I designed the cover to this Betty Crocker book! How funny! I hope everyone goes out and buys this book. It has a lot of cute things in it. :)

I baked ice cream cone cupcakes 5 years ago when my daughter was in Kindergarten. Strawberry shortcake was just becoming popular(again) so I made Banana cupcakes with strawberry frosting. To bake them I put the ice cream cones into a muffin pan to hold them upright and then filled with batter, they were a huge hit, and yummy too.
