We had a wonderful time yesterday at the Fort Greene Brooklyn Flea. It was a beautiful sunny day, but perhaps too sunny as some of the cupcakes' frosting started to melt in the sun. We had a wealth of volunteers including two high school juniors from Long Island, and bakers from Eastchester, Ridgewood, Staten Island and a recent Fordham graduate. Representing Cupcakes Take The Cake were Mary Ann, Melissa and me. Also Matt Lewis from Baked stopped by in the morning and Julie Mulligan from 1800Flowers came by in the afternoon Due to the Rosh Hashanah holiday, we may not had as many people stopping by our bake sale, but it was a big success! We raised $617.56. Our final goal is $1000, so please donate via Firstgiving. Thanks to all volunteers and friends!
