Bestselling cupcake cookbook authors ask What's New, Cupcake? in 2010

Cupcake cookbook What's New, Cupcake?: Ingeniously Simple Designs for Every Occasion by Hello, Cupcake!'s Karen Tack and Alan Richardson won't be out until 2010, but you can ogle the duck-filled cover now. Their 2010 cupcake wall calendar is on sale now.

Amazon doesn't list a publication date, but does say:

The endlessly imaginative duo who turned cupcaking into a national pastime is back, with utterly new, eye-popping creations anyone can make. Create a racecar cupcake, a robot cupcake, or ravishing jewelry cupcakes for a birthday party. Surprise the family with Chinese takeout dinner cupcakes on April Fool’s, or serve up a goofy chocolate moose. Captivate mom with a bouquet of long-stemmed-rose cupcakes, and build sand castle cupcakes with the kids. All you need are candies from the corner store and cake mix and canned frosting.

Stay tuned to their blog, where they post things like these butterfly cupcakes, about which they wrote:

We wanted to show you these butterfly cupcakes sent to us by Jennifer because she chose such an amazing range of colors for the chocolate wings. In Hello, Cupcake! we used brown and orange to make them look like Monarchs, but Jennifer made them pink and lavender and created a Pastel Fairy Cupcake Project. Congratulations Jennifer, they are stunning.
