While I was in Chicago and after I got to feast on treats like a lemon bar, basil goat cheese croissant and a peanut butter chocolate cupcake, Veruca Salt cupcake (my favorite and as you'll see in the interview, their best seller!) and the poached apple cupcake, I talked to Michelle Garcia, co-owner of The Bleeding Heart Bakery about how she and her husband, Vinny, came to open the bakery in 2004, their Top Chef cupcakes, the atmosphere, charity cupcakes, and how cupcakes fare in terms of their other offerings.
