Amazing giveaway! Two copies of *Rose's Heavenly Cakes*

I absolutely love this cookbook. It's beautiful to look at and is a great coffeetable book in addition to being a stellar collection of recipes.

We're giving away two copies (!) of Rose's Heavenly Cakes by Rose Levy Beranbaum (author of The Cake Bible). Published by Wiley, Rose's Heavenly Cakes features mouth-watering photos and recipes of cakes, minicakes, and baby cakes (read: cupcakes) by the "Diva of Desserts," Rose Levy Beranbaum. Make sure you check out her "ten golden rules of cake baking." Mmm... Her recipe for White Velvet Butter Cupcakes looks amazing. A must-try (hint: cake flour!).



The photos are all by Ben Fink and make me want to lick the pages. *grin*

I am always excited about every cupcake flavor I read about or try--I really do love them all--but my favorite flavor that I just have to try or make myself is a bacon and waffle "vanilla" cupcake with a maple buttercream frosting--my mouth is watering right now!!

My favorite cupcake flavor has to be dark chocolate cake, topped with a swirl of creamy, mint buttercream frosting. The green coloring is option - but encouraged. This would also be good filled with a mint chocolate fudge sauce, although I'm generally not a fan of filled cupcakes. But I'd make an exception in this case . . .

I have just been drolling over your blog because there is not really a good local bakery around here.If you know of one in the Dallas/Fort Worth area could you pass that info along. ohhhh, Rose's Cake Bible is a well used book in my kitchen so I would Love to have this!
My fav cupcake is Rose's chocolate butter cake recipe and my own cookies and cream frosting :-)
This was a hard decision to make because I have so many favs!

I love pistachio cake, or any citrusy, fruity cake with cream cheese frosting! Another favorite is chocolate cake with tart cherries and chocolate cream cheese!

My favorite cupcake has to be one my mom makes: triple chocolate. Chocolate cake with chocolate pudding and chocolate chips. No icing, but we always used them to make quick sundaes.

I have never met a cupcake that I didn't love! But if I had to choose then i'd have to say that my ultimate favorite would have to be a plain and simple chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting... being that I am a chocoholic!!

OMG, Coconut with Lime Curd filling. The coconut cake has St. Kitts Rum in it and it takes me back to the tropics when I need to get away. I am so near the bottom of these comments, I hope I stand a chance that you will read them all.

Looks like a great book! My current favorite cupcake is the caramel dipped apple cupcake I've been making for the season-- a fresh apple cider cake studded with caramel bits, topped with a caramel buttercream and then drizzled with caramel. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Hands down my favorite is a simple yellow (& yes, I love that "yellow" is a flavor!) with buttercream icing. A few sprinkles on top wouldn't hurt either :)
