The Boston Herald, for whom the word Kickass in the cupcake bakery name Kickass Cupcakes is a wee bit too much so they must replace the "a" with an asterisk, reports:
Kick*ss Cupcakes in Somerville’s Davis Square will be selling a “limited-edition” Black Friday cupcake for $2.95. The vanilla cupcake has black licorice baked in the center, anise frosting and a garnish of Twizzlers black licorice.
Owner and pastry chef Sara Ross admits she’s not a fan of Black Friday and tries to avoid it, but she knows a lot of sweet-tooths love black licorice.
“That’s my favorite part of the job - being creative with cupcakes and coming up with new ones,” Ross said. “I haven’t had a chance to use black licorice yet, so I thought this would be a good opportunity.”

And their monthly (last Monday of the month) cocktail cupcake tasting will take place this Monday, November 30th, from 5 to 7 pm.
