Mmm, Mexican Vanilla from Blue Cattle Truck Trading Company. I love it! (Full disclosure, the company advertises with us (see left-hand-side of the page) and generously sent me the package for review.)
The Mexican Vanilla has arrived!
Several bottles of vanilla (both Traditional and Pure), a themed placemat (or dish cloth), and two dessert mixes.
I got to work immediately in Stacie's test kitchen.
Here's the Aunt Carolyn's brownies with frosting kit, prefrosting, made into cupcakes (of course):
And the Homecoming chocolate chip cookies:
I also baked a peach pie and some cupcakes. I'll be honest, I cannot really tell the difference between the Pure and the Traditional. I even tasted them over sliced fruit
and I couldn't tell them apart. Luckily, both versions are delicious and very vanilla-y without being too much. And they both smell and taste exactly the way you'd hope vanilla would. It's no surprise that Marlo of Sweet Revenge uses this stuff by the gallon.
Blue Cattle and Cupcakes Take the Cake will be giving away a medium-size bottle (8.4 ounces) of Traditional Mexican Vanilla. As per the company's wishes, this "offer is restricted to the lower 48 states," USA.
All you have to do is become a Facebook fan of Blue Cattle Truck Trading Co. to enter. Those who do before December 11th at 5:00 pm MT will be entered into a random drawing. (You need to have a Facebook account to enter into this drawing.) The company will contact the winner via Facebook.
