Travelin' for the Holidays

Every year, I do the holidays. You know do the holidays. I decorate the entire apartment (and the front door), I send out a hundred holiday greetings cards, I but presents for everyone, bake more cupcakes than you can shake a stick at, perform complicated truffle-making maneuvers, cook and bake rich holidays foods, and get all the presents under the tree and ornaments up on Christmas Eve. I even cop to listening to Christmas CDs, ones that might embarrass me further if I revealed them.

This year I will be traveling for the holidays -- both Christmas and New Year's -- and I could not be more thrilled and relieved.

I'm going to Nevada -- well, Vegas, actually, and then traveling around the Nevada/Arizona/Utah area. I'll be cupcaking this Christmas! And it's a relief.

In Vegas I'll be going to:

The Cupcakery

Retro Bakery

Mad Hatter

and

Cupcake Lane Bakery.

In Utah I'll be meeting with the lovely Becky Olsen of Utah Loves Cupcakes. She'll be helping Utah represent, and I'll be the beneficiary. Mmm, cupcakes!

We're going to be meeting at St. George, Utah's Twenty Five Main.

I'll also be in Sedona and Flagstaff, Arizona, but can't seem to find any cupcakes. How do the people of Sedona and Flagstaff survive without cupcakes?

Am I missing anyplace? Let me know!

I have to say Retro is my fave but if you are going to be in the area Just Cupcakes is about two miles up the street from Retro. Why not check them out. My dogs love their pupcake treats.
That's so funny -- we travel almost every year, to my parents on the east coast, or to my husband's parents on the west coast (we're in Texas, so it's far either way), and this year we're NOT traveling, and I'M so relieved! ;-) I've really gotten to hate flying at Christmas time, and I hated having to have everything "finished" by Dec. 19 or so so we could get on a plane. So it's all relative, I guess! ;-)

I hope you have a wonderful trip!

When are you going to be in Vegas, I would like to meet you at one of the bakeries. I can't believe that cupcakes have become so popular. My sons think I am crazy, recently there was a whole write up about the cupcake bakeries in NY in our local papers travel section.

There is also another one on S. Durango not far from Mad Hatter and Cup Cake Lane bakery, just can't remember the name at the moment.
