Fur Ball Halloween cupcakes and more from What's New, Cupcake?

I wish October could last forever if it is constantly giving us what have to be the cutest cupcakes ever. Fur ball cupcakes?? LOVE. Seriously. I found these over at the Hostess Blog, where you can find out how to make these along with string monster cupcakes (!!). They're from the cookbook What's New, Cupcake? by Karen Tack and Alan Richardson (see their blog here.

Here are the fur ball cupcake ingredients, in case you were curious:

- 12 vanilla cupcakes baked in orange, green, and purple paper
- 12 mini vanilla cupcakes, paper liners removed
- 1 can (16 oz) vanilla frosting
- Neon green, orange, and purple food coloring
- 24 mini lollipops (Dum Dums), unwrapped
- 24 peach or green apple gummy rings (O’s)
- 24 brown mini candy coated chocolates (M&M’s Minis)
- 12 assorted color candy-coated chocolates (M&M’s Minis)

But wait, there's more...that doesn't have to do with Halloween but does have to do with animal cupcake cuteness and What's New, Cupcake?, also via Hostess Blog. Chocolate ant cupcakes and bee cupcakes!
