If there's one place in America where food is king, it's New Orleans, LA. I had the good fortune to be there over the last few days and I stopped by the very cute and delicious Kupcake Factory. They are located in three different spots in New Orleans, so I went to the one located in the French Quarter at 517 St. Louis St. between Decatur and Chartres.
Although they were all delicious, my favorite was the Reeses Pieces cupcake, a brownie chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting rolled in reeses pieces candy bits. Yum!
Two seasonal cupcakes that stood out were the pumpkin and the caramel apple. The caramel apple is a granny smith apple cake with a caramel filling and a cream cheese frosting drizzled with caramel. It tasted just like a fresh caramel apple!
All cakes were fresh and moist and loaded with flavor. I also spotted some very cute hand-made cupcake earrings for sale.
So, cupcake lovers, If you are ever in NOLA, be sure to stop by one of their locations and try them!
