Today is National Vanilla Cupcake Day, so I thought our readers may want to find some recipes and bake in celebration. I recently won an Android phone at a Motorola party, and have been checking out all the recipe apps. My major pet peeve is that so many food apps are first released for iPhones even though Android phones are outselling iPhones this year. There are two Android recipe apps that I really like- Epicurious and Big Oven. Both sites create grocery lists for the recipes which makes it easy for shopping. Both apps are FREE.
Here's are two good recipes that I found:
On Epicurious: Amy Sedaris' Vanilla Cupcake Recipe Amy Sedaris makes cupcakes by special requests only, so this may be the only way you can have her cupcakes.
On Big Oven: Kid's Vanilla Heaven Cupcake It doesn't include a recipe for frosting but it's a fun recipe to make with kids.
