The April flavor of the month at New York City mini cupcake bakery Baked by Melissa (who also do mail order cupcakes) is Birthday Cake cupcakes, full of fun confetti. They're $1 each (cheaper the more you buy) and I bought two to try on Friday.
I like the frosting a lot, though I'm having trouble describing it exactly. It's very sweet, but not too sweet, and is creamy and smooth and delicious. The sprinkles add color and texture to the frosting and cake. The chocolate pudding filling was good but is such a small amount it doesn't really stand out compared to the frosting. So far I've overall liked their flavors of the month more than their regular flavors (not to knock their regular flavors); they're interesting and inventive. This one would be perfect for a party and if you like vanilla, is definitely worth a try.
