I’m so excited for our 2nd annual Cupcake Camp Seattle event. I started this event last year as a celebration for my first year in business. I thought what better way to celebrate then bringing the cupcake community together. I just didn’t realize how many cupcake lovers Seattle had....we had nearly 1,000 attendees, 70 bakers and over $5,000 raised for our charity.
So we’re doing it again for our second year! I’ve invited people who love to bake and those who love to eat cupcakes to come together in one place for a great cause. Activities include cupcake tasting of over 14 different cupcake shops including New York Cupcakes, Wink Cupcakes and more. Other activities include a cupcake eating contest (sponsored by Trophy Cupcakes), Bella Cupcake Couture cupcake wrapper decorating for kids, bakers competitions by CakeCentral.com, cupcake retail shopping and more.
The event is Sunday, April 17, 2011 12pm-4pm. Tickets are $8 prior to the event online via www.cupcakecampseattle.com or $10 at the door. We are highly recommending folks to buy ahead of time though to avoid the long lines we had last year. Each ticket is valid for 6 mini cupcake tastings. All ticket sale proceeds go to the Hope Heart Institute.
We want attendees to come to taste all the fabulous bakeries and shop all things cupcake. They can also swap cupcake ideas, talk about different types of cupcakes they like or meet some of the fabulous cupcake shop owners and contest judges. We also have several cupcake bloggers like yourself joining us; here is the list of those you will see, Rachel of Cupcake Take The Cake, Jessie of Cakespy, Jenn of JavaCupcake and ZenCupcake are just a few of the cupcake folks who will be present. I’m looking forward to all the fun!
