Cake pops run the gamut these days, from haute cuisine cake truffles to edible party favors. I spotted this recipe from Foodie Wannabe who uses pound cake as the base for her cake pops.

Pound Cake! There's a gazillion people hitting themselves on the head saying, "Why didn't I think of that"? I will say, however, the traditional way of making a cake from scratch and frosting then forming it into a pop tastes delightful. I will also add that if you "bake from scratch" you get a lot more points from Heaven. I'm just sayin.
