Pink Cadillac cupcake convertible by Georgetown Cupcake, who will tape reality show and open store in New York City

Washington, DC and Bethesda, MD cupcake bakery Georgetown Cupcake, whose owners star in TLC reality show DC Cupcakes, posted photos on Facebook of the pink Cadillac cupcake convertible they built at the 60th Annual Sun Fun Festival in Myrtle Beach!

And big news from the New York Daily News. SoHo and NoLita seem to be cupcake hotspots these days, with Baked by Melissa, Billy's Bakery and Little Cupcake Bakeshop all near where Georgetown Cupcake plans to open.

TLC's "DC Cupcakes" is coming to New York to shoot a special about the bakers as they prepare to open a location in the city.

Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis, sisters and co-owners of Georgetown Cupcakes, the shop in the reality show, are opening a store at 111 Mercer St. this winter.

They'll share the behind-the-scenes action of the SoHo opening in an hour-long episode of "DC Cupcakes."

Exactly when that episode will air has not been decided, largely because the shop isn't open yet.
