S'mores, blueberry pie, chocolate-covered cherry and peanut butter and jelly cupcakes on Marhta's Vineyard

One of the highlights of my visits to Martha's Vineyard to visit my grandmother in the summers (which I used to do every summer as a kid - she actually grew up there in the 20's and 30's when it was not as crowded as it is today) is visiting Sweet E's Cupcakes, which now has bakeries in Vineyard Haven and Edgartown. They are big and gooey and rich and delicious. S'mores is a particular favorite of mine, as is chocolate peanut butter. These are cupcakes that are worth every penny, in my opinion. I don't know yet which weekend I'm coming to visit this year, but I know one of my first stops will be Sweet E's! These photos are all from their Facebook page. Martha's Vineyard may not be the easiest place to get to but these cupcakes (among other delights like lovely beaches) make it worth it.

What I really like about their cupcakes is something you can even see in some of the photos, like the blueberry pie: they are made with real ingredients. So in the vanilla, you see the vanilla beans. They are not all exactly uniform in shape (these below look pretty uniform though, but I mean they will not sacrifice the oozing of some marshmallow just to have them all look perfect), though they are beautiful and their display cases are lovely. They are very rich; I'm not necessarily saying you'd want to finish an entire one yourself unless you have a major major sweet tooth (I recommend sharing). They are quality cupcakes and I'm obviously a big fan. Their flavors also change, so keep up @SweetEonMV on Twitter. Martha's Vineyard may not be the easiest place to get to, but these cupcakes make it worth it!

They're located at 18 Main Street in Vineyard Haven (508-693-6400) and )) in Edgartown (508-627-7578).
