I tried the two cake pops at Starbucks in the UK that are different from the ones in the US (we both have rocky road) and they were interesting. The sparkly one was sweeter and wetter/moister than the other, and although it was pretty, I didn't like it that much. I don't know what the official flavor of the almond one was but I ate the entire thing and thought it was very interesting, maybe had a bit of a toffee flavor, or something similar. It was moister than a cupcake inside and the almonds on the outside gave them a nice flavor. I saw a fair amount of cake pops in London, though I didn't get to some shops I'd wanted to. I am hoping to go back next year and try more.
