First I just want to pay tribute to how amazing these bridge and groom cupcakes are! I love how they're decorated and how with just two cupcakes, CocoBeni Confections has created beautiful, mini cupcake cakes. I'm adding the closeups below to give you the full effect:
We love hearing about new cupcake bakeries opening, not only because it means that the cupcake haters and extremely annoying, "When will cupcakes be OVER?" people are proven wrong, but because it means more cupcakes for people to eat and more small businesses starting in this economy. CocoBeni Confections has been getting lots of media buzz, and you can find out more at cocobeniconfections.com and on their Facebook page, where these photos are from. From now through December 31st, if you buy five cupcakes, the sixth is free.
From Worcester Telegram & Gazette:
Owner Mary Beth Benison of Shrewsbury bakes cakes and cupcakes and sells Emack and Bolio’s ice cream. The shop, which officially opened in October, seats 12.
The cupcakes are sold in a variety of flavors including Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese, Red Velvet, Mudslide, Smores, Double Chocolate, Peanut Butter Cup and Almond Joy.
The holiday season inspires flavors such as Eggnog, Chocolate Peppermint, White Chocolate Chip and Cranberry with White Chocolate Mousse and Gingerbread with Cream Cheese frosting.
The cupcake business is going strong, according to Benison, who said TV shows, like the Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars,” have helped spread the word.
