New York's ChikaLicious expands to Hong Kong with bakery Kisses Cupcakes, and they're hiring!

New York's ChikaLicous (aka Dessert Club ChikaLicous, which is actually across the street, and their banana cupcake is one I shared on The Gayle King Show, since she's a banana cupcake fan) has expanded to Hong Kong's Gough Street with the new bakery Kisses Cupcakes. From Sassy Hong Kong:

The cute little shop has a counter at the back with wooden trays filled with the little cupcakes in flavours like Red Velvet, Triple Chocolate, Vanilla and Green Tea, and then a teeny cafe area where you can munch happily on your purchases! I picked out a Vanilla and Triple Chocolate cupcake to take away for trial purposes. My husband (he’s making a cameo in the pic above!) and I tucked in, and loved the moist cake, but were a teensy bit disappointed that the buttercream icing wasn’t sweeter. I like the kind of frosting that’s so sweet it makes my teeth hurt! When I chatted later with Kisses owner, Jasmine, she told me that the semi-sweet icing was an intentional adjustment of the (originally American) recipe to suit local Hong Kong tastes, which run to less sweet than Western.

Eater had reported that they also expanded to Tokyo:

Both restaurants will serve a decidedly New York menu with due consideration given to local tastes.

And they're hiring! Via @KissesCupcakes on Twitter:
