Mountain Caregiver Resource Center is holding its second annual Cupcakes for Caregivers fundraiser. This year the theme is Hollywood and all proceeds go to helping local family caregivers.
Categories include professional division, open division and junior division.
Entry fee is $50 for professional with awards of $200 for first place and $75 for second place in taste and presentation categories.
Entry fee for open is $20 with first place in presentation receiving $100 and $50 for second.
Junior division, for those 15 and under, is $10 with a $40 prize for first and $15 prize for second.
The contest will be 1-3 p.m. on Feb. 4 at Shasta College Cafeteria in Redding. Set-up for the event is 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 4 with judging from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Winners will be announced at 2:45 p.m.
The public is encouraged to attend. Admission is $1 each, which includes a cupcake of their choice. A kid's table will be available for children to decorate their cupcake.
