A heads up about the next CupcakeCamp (possibly the first in 2012?)...in Phoenix. The deadline to register to bring cupcakes is this Sunday, January 22nd. Get more information at Plancast and Facebook. I couldn't find a bigger version of their logo, but it's super cute (CupcakeCamp organizers have been going all out to make their posters memorable and local).
Since we can't be everywhere at once (would that we could), if the organizers of this CupcakeCamp or any other want to write a guest post as a preview or wrapup of your CupcakeCamp (or similar cupcake event), email us at cupcakestakethecake at gmail.com with "Guest Post." Thanks!

CupcakeCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and eat cupcakes in an open environment. Here's how it works for those of you who did not make it out to the one in 2010:
Think of it as your friendly neighborhood potluck except with cupcakes. You can come and just eat. Or you can come with cupcakes. But if you do, you MUST register how many and what flavor by Sunday, Jan. 22 by cupcakecampphx@gmail.com so we can make a schedule.
Amateur bakers--feel free to use this as an opportunity to experiment. We welcome more than the usual regular size classic cupcakes:
-mini cupcakes
-savory cupcakes
-"adult" (alcohol) cupcakes
-vegan/gluten-free cupcakes
-unique ingredients
We will post updates on whether there will be any themes, competition or additional activities in the coming weeks--it all depends on how many people RSVP here (Last time, we had about 650 cupcakes). The main goal is to have a free and inclusive afternoon where our little ol' community of friends and friends of friends can be happy little campers. Please feel free to invite anyone you know and don't forget--REGISTRATION DEADLINE JAN. 22.
