Georgetown Cupcake opening in Boston soon, Los Angeles in the fall

The latest news from Georgetown Cupcake, aside from tomorrow's free cupcake giveaway all day and tomorrow night's episode of DC Cupcakes on TLC, is that the Washington, DC/Bethesda/NYC bakery is opening in Boston at 83 Newbury Street "in a few weeks" (according to their Twitter account and in Los Angeles (143 S. Big news in the world of cupcakes. Sophie Kallinis LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis Berman, sisters and the girls behind uber popular Georgetown Cupcake in Washington DC, are headed to Los Angeles this fall to open their fifth location on Robertson Blvd in the defunct Lisa Kline space. The 2,600 square foot bakery will mirror the DC original with an open kitchen and espresso bar. Fun facts: Georgetown Cupcake bakes about 10,000 cupcakes per day and red velvet is the most popular flavor.
