I have a tattoo of two tiger lilies on my right shoulder, so I have a special fondness for them, bu tin the world of cupcakes, roses are by far the most common flower cupcake I've come across. Blogger Diary of a Mad Hausfrau made these tiger lily cupcakes, complete with stripes, and writes:
I formed the lily petals by rolling out the fondant and cutting out the petal shapes with a sharp knife. Then I rolled small pieces of the fondant into the stamen shapes and painted the accents with black paste food coloring.
