Support the troops, get a free cupcake from Brooklyn Cupcake

As part of their Operation: Brooklyn Cupcake program, through November 12th, Williamsburg's Brooklyn Cupcake is collecting items to send to U.S. military troops through the Any Soldier program and if you drop something off at their bakery at 335 Union Avenue, between Grand and Maujer Streets, you'll get a free cupcake! Here's what's needed:

Socks; T-Shirts; Unscented Baby Wipes; Razors; Pain Relievers; Duct Tape; Batteries (AA/C); Lip Balm; Sunglasses; Deodorant; Sanitary Pads; Bug Spray; Baby Powder; Cushioned Insoles; Baggies; Phone Cards; News Magazines; Puzzles; Playing Cards; Writing Pad & Pens; DVDs; Instant Products (Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, Oatmeal); Drink Mixes; Ramen Noodles (Chicken); Beef Jerky; Trail Mix; Dried Fruit; Protein Bars; Nuts; Hard Candy; Travel Size Shaving Cream; Travel Size Mouthwash; and Twin Bed Sheets.

PLEASE DO NOT COMBINE FOOD WITH NON-FOOD ITEMS IN YOUR “GOODY BAGS”. THEY MUST BE PACKAGED SEPARATELY.
For more information, visit brooklyncupcake.com or their Facebook page and @BrooklynCupcake on Twitter or contact them at info at brooklyncupcake.com or 718-576-3600. As far as I can tell, they are open regular hours this week, but if you're not sure, contact them to confirm (same goes for any bakery in a Hurricane Sandy affected area).
