Cupcake kebab how-to: Inquiring minds want to know

I don't know if anyone else remembers those "Inquiring minds want to know..." commercials for the National Enquirer, but I liked them growing up. And I know because we got such a great response to the cupcake kebabs Nora made for our picnic that you want to know just how she made them. So here's a video, that photo again, because it deserves to be bigger (the ones I posted from the picnic are the default size when emailing directly to blog them via Flickr) and some closeup shots. They were a major hit! And I learned that you can buy strawberry marshmallows at the grocery store. Thanks, Nora!

I also have more picnic photos here and look out for more posts about the picnic too. Oh, and they were delicious. The wafers were a little soggy, but that's totally fine, the marshmallows were amazing and I had a strawberry mini cupcake that was excellent. I saw them being grabbed and eaten quite quickly so I know others enjoyed them too. And after looking at umpteen cupcake photos for this blog, it was fabulous to see such a fun, creative and new idea.

Thanks for the inspiration. We made a variation on the theme and they were a huge hit at yesterday's Solstice party.
