Does anyone else think this is nuts?
I agree, its not like she named her shop "Sprinkles - Cupcake Couture" its Sprinkled Pink. Her logo doesn't look like theirs or anything.
It sounds to me like someone is lawsuit happy. Blech!
It's getting really silly. Even the dot. It's a friggin dot. If they were all-that they would not have to worry about losing $. You gotta keep up or lose.
Sprinkles defies everything warm and loving about cupcakes - by mean spirited law suits that small bakers can't afford. It certainly is a strategy to get rid of any one who appears to be competition. Yuk!
Wow - the photos on this blog today - have cupcakes from BAKED - with a dot!
Is Sprinkles going to sue them?
If the adage "No press is bad press" holds true, then lucky Sprinkled Pink!
I completely agree. Sprinkles is overly litigious. They are giving small businesses trouble because they can. I wouldn't confuse the name Sprinkled Pink (obviously a play on Tickled Pink) with Sprinkles. They don't even use sprinkles! Defending a trademark infringement lawsuit requires an attorney who specializes in that area of law. Very expensive representation.
