Christmas cupcakes with clementine icing!

The title here says Christmas Cupcakes/Fairy Cakes. Is this like my confusion over Fairy Bread (since resolved) and Fairy Floss (cotton candy in the U.S.)? Not sure. Ahh, but CTTC has the answer!

These fairy cakes/cupcakes
were shot by Flickr photog scotproof, whom I think is in Scotland. Honestly, I don't care what you call them as long as they taste as yummy as these look!

Edit/Update: Scotproof posted the recipe here. Thanks, scotproof!

those. are. BEAUTIFUL! oh my word, this blog was made for me. I'm 16 and an aspiring pastry chef. i bake cupcakes every week for my friends at school. they just don't understand the beauty in a cupcake. they think that a good cupcake comes from a boxed mix (the horror! that's atrocious!) and can't comprehend why i'm making apricot lemon with a vanilla cream frosting when all they want is chocolate. wow, that was pointless rambling. but THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU for appreciating the beauty in an imperfect cupcake!

Thanks for adding my picture. They tasted good and are really simple to make. I've just blogged the recipe.

By the way, I've always thought we call them fairy cakes because they look like fairy-sized versions of regular 8-inch cakes!
