Thou shalt not steal - bakeries, this means you too!

I'm not quite sure why bakeries and web designers can't quite master that simple rule, but apparently they can't, because we seem to run into this issue at least once a month. Drea of Never Bashful With Butter left a comment letting us know that Washington, DC's upcoming bakery Red Velvet Cupcakery used her image without her permission. See her blog post about it. They have since changed their site, but still.

DO NOT STEAL PHOTOS. Illegal, bad karma, all of that...

Shame, shame, shame! As an artist, blogger, and wannabe cupcakery owner I find this SO appauling! You mean to say that you've gone to the trouble of getting a business put together but are too lazy to get permission to use a photo or take one yourself? Nuts!

It now looks like these people are using other cupcake images that are STILL not their own... from www.hellocupcake.com Check out Hello Cupcake's gallery and some of the photos on "About Us" on Red Velvet!!! Geez!!!! So wrong...

Now they are using cupcakes from a bakery in Seattle, WA...Trophy Cupcakes. Absolutely ridiculous!
