New contest! Win a Sweet as a Cupcake notecard set from

Papillon Princess was kind enough to donate a set of these beautiful Sweet as a Cupcake notecard sets, which retail for $20. Guess what else? You can get 2 free cards just for being a reader here (for a total of 10 cards) when you order using the coupon code CTTC2FREE which is good through October 31, 2009 (I sense holiday gifts...).

I love this contest because I think the art of snail mail is dying and I love snail mail. Seriously, who doesn't like to open their mailbox and get something other than a boring bill? I used to be better about sending cards and have fallen out of the habit but want to get back into it. I'll answer the entry: I'd send one to my cupcake-loving cousin Lily who is going to college soon. Also: Swarovski crystals! On cards! So cool.

Official description:

I love cupcakes so I just had to make my first set of embellished notecards be full of sweet cupcakey goodness.

Set of 8 (2 of each design) embellished 3.5" x 5" folded notecards.

Each card is hand painted with glitter and adorned with Swarovski crystals. Because these are hand embellished please allow for additional processing time.

*Cupcakes Take the Cake members be sure to enter your coupon code at checkout to receive your exclusive set! If you're not a member follow this link to find out what all the buzz is about...

Entry details: To enter, leave a comment on this post WITH your email address or blog link (we need a way to contact you if you win!) and tell us who you'd write to with this stationery set. One entry per person. Deadline: August 31, 2009, 5 pm EST. We moderate all comments so if you don't see yours immediately, please be patient. If you don't see it up after 24 hours, email us at cupcakestakethecake at gmail.com

Good luck!

And you might be interested...other Papillon Princess cupcake-related items include Pandas are Sweet notecards, pink cupcake first birthday cards, and cupcake thank you cards.

ps. If you haven't done so already, you also have until August 31st to enter our Bella Cupcake Couture wrapper contest.

These are such beautiful cards. I would love them so that I could write to my grandmother. I recently transferred to a new university (my previous school was at home). My new school is 3 hours away from home. I miss my grandmother a lot and I know she loves hearing from me (I'm her youngest granddaughter too). I currently write to her and call her, but she loves cupcakes and baking as much as I do so I know that one of these cards would brighten her day. :)

I would write to my boyfriend, who recently away moved to Little Rock, AR and we have to have a long distance relationship for 5 months. I would also write to his parents because they LOVE letters and he never writes. I'd sign his name, too, so we could both get parent points!

I would write to my boyfriend of 3 and a half years who, on saturday, moved 8 hours away to get a masters in library sciences. He wants to be a children's librarian.

He won't be able to have any of the cupcakes that i bake for a while, but at least these cards could give him a sweet little reminder. they're adorable.

My name is Lisa Lazoff.

I'd definitely write to my sisters. They would love getting these "sweet" cards!

The cards look almost good enough to eat! I would use them to write to my best friend Allison, who like me loves cupcakes! Since we live in different states, I don't get to see her a lot during the summer, but we chat on the phone all the time in an effort to keep each other posted as much as possible about what's going on in our lives. We often talk about cupcake recipes that we've tried and new cupcakeries that we have visited. I guess you could say that cupcakes keep us close when we're apart!

Hmm...I would send one to my bestest cousin in the whole wide world, because she really is sweet as can be. I would send one to my mom, because I know it would make her smile, and hungry for a cupcake. I would send one to my Grandmother because she never really gets "fun" mail (boo hiss for bills and junk mail!)

Oh, and I'd send one to a couple of girlfriends of mine, just because.
I would love to use them to write notes to my friends and family. We depend so much on computers, that I'd love to put my computer aside and write notes to them the "old school" way. Helps that I love cupcakes too :)

These are ADORABLE! and I do agree the art of snail mail is almost a thing of the past...

I would write notes to my daughter in her lunch pail. Even though she can't read too well right now (she is only 4 1/2) she is starting kindergarten in a few weeks and seeing her mama's handwritten "I LOVE YOU" will make her feel special.

I would write to my sister who lives in Sonoma on the other side of the country-we are best friends but have to deal with the 3,000 miles distance that keeps us from going to the movies or for coffee or other fun girlie sister things we used to do growing up. I'd def. send her one of these adorable cupcake notecards from across the miles and i'm sure it would put a big smile on her face. thanks. kati (fangelini@verizon.net)

Ummm... so how many cards are there in a set? I'd send one to my boyfriend to tell him how incredibly upset I am with the whole long-distance-relationship situation -- I have had to stop making cupcakes because there's noone to keep me company and help me eat them. I would send one to a great friends who I just found is expecting a girl in the Fall and one to another friend whose little boy just turned one; one to my sister who's in Europe; one to my Grandma who's winning the battle over breast cancer; one to my former house-mate who's finishing her PhD... Do I have any cards left?

if i had these cards, i would write my best friend lauren. we've moved to different sides of the u.s. a couple of years ago, but whenever we get together we bake and eat and bake some more. it would be such a fun treat in the mail for her!

She lives in Central Jersey and it's not always easy to get to her, so I would def. write to her first. And then to my friend, Zury-- who also lives in that area.
I'd send one to my best friend, who shares her enthusiasm for cupcakes with me. One to my other good friend and former employer, Mary, who's going thru a tough time taking care of her elderly father.
Let's see, that's 4! I would totally keep the others for random birthdays and "hellos"!.

I would write to my husband. Yes I live with him, but we have a cupcake obsession. Wherever we visit, the center of our trip is to eat cupcakes. Not only do we go around eating cupcakes everywhere, but we also make cupcakes all the time (him more than me!). These cards are amazing! I have been looking for cupcake stationary for a while!

I would use these card to write to my best friends. We have all been good friends since kindergarten and now are spread out around the country for school. Last year, it was very hard for us to keep in touch because we were all so busy, but I promised myself that I would do better this year. These cards would help remind them all that I am always thinking about them and that distance doesn't matter for our friendship. I am known for my cupcakes among my friends so the cards would add an even more personal touch to the letters.
