Papillon Princess was kind enough to donate a set of these beautiful Sweet as a Cupcake notecard sets, which retail for $20. Guess what else? You can get 2 free cards just for being a reader here (for a total of 10 cards) when you order using the coupon code CTTC2FREE which is good through October 31, 2009 (I sense holiday gifts...).
I love this contest because I think the art of snail mail is dying and I love snail mail. Seriously, who doesn't like to open their mailbox and get something other than a boring bill? I used to be better about sending cards and have fallen out of the habit but want to get back into it. I'll answer the entry: I'd send one to my cupcake-loving cousin Lily who is going to college soon. Also: Swarovski crystals! On cards! So cool.
Official description:
I love cupcakes so I just had to make my first set of embellished notecards be full of sweet cupcakey goodness.

These are such beautiful cards. I would love them so that I could write to my grandmother. I recently transferred to a new university (my previous school was at home). My new school is 3 hours away from home. I miss my grandmother a lot and I know she loves hearing from me (I'm her youngest granddaughter too). I currently write to her and call her, but she loves cupcakes and baking as much as I do so I know that one of these cards would brighten her day. :)
I would write to my boyfriend, who recently away moved to Little Rock, AR and we have to have a long distance relationship for 5 months. I would also write to his parents because they LOVE letters and he never writes. I'd sign his name, too, so we could both get parent points!
He won't be able to have any of the cupcakes that i bake for a while, but at least these cards could give him a sweet little reminder. they're adorable.

I think these cards are adorable. I would send a card to a girlfriend who is pregnant who also enjoys cupcakes as much as I do. She also use to work for a company that letterpressed all their cards & stationary and she would really appreciate these cards.

The cards look almost good enough to eat! I would use them to write to my best friend Allison, who like me loves cupcakes! Since we live in different states, I don't get to see her a lot during the summer, but we chat on the phone all the time in an effort to keep each other posted as much as possible about what's going on in our lives. We often talk about cupcake recipes that we've tried and new cupcakeries that we have visited. I guess you could say that cupcakes keep us close when we're apart!
I think I would mail one to my son. He's only 4 but loves to get mail, and these cards are super sweet (as is he).
Oh, and I'd send one to a couple of girlfriends of mine, just because.

I would write to my customers thanking them for keeping me in business!
I would write notes to my daughter in her lunch pail. Even though she can't read too well right now (she is only 4 1/2) she is starting kindergarten in a few weeks and seeing her mama's handwritten "I LOVE YOU" will make her feel special.

I would use these cards for my 2 year old daughter (who is cupcake obsessed) to send to my mom (who is also cupcake obsessed). We just made cupcakes on Saturday to celebrate her surrendering her binky to "The Binky Princess". Her choice in colors - chocolate with purple icing and heart sprinkles.

I would send a just-because note to my cousin who sells cupcakes at her local farmer's market. I know she of all people would appreciate it. Plus, her birthday falls on what has supposedly been dubbed National Cupcake Day.

'd start sending out more cards to friends cause they are just to cute not to share with others.

I would write to my Mother in Law, she is a great woman and the only woman I know that goes on a dessert diet. She figures out how many desserts she can have and that is all she eats all day long, dessert!
Aren't these just lovely? I would write to my friend Tanya. We decided to be each other's "life coach" and make sure that we each follow our dreams and our goals. If it wasn't for the motivational post card she sent me, I may not have had the guts to sign up for the pastry arts program at a culinary school!
if i had these cards, i would write my best friend lauren. we've moved to different sides of the u.s. a couple of years ago, but whenever we get together we bake and eat and bake some more. it would be such a fun treat in the mail for her!
Thank you for the giveaway :)

I'd send one to my best friend, who shares her enthusiasm for cupcakes with me. One to my other good friend and former employer, Mary, who's going thru a tough time taking care of her elderly father.
Let's see, that's 4! I would totally keep the others for random birthdays and "hellos"!.

I would write to my husband. Yes I live with him, but we have a cupcake obsession. Wherever we visit, the center of our trip is to eat cupcakes. Not only do we go around eating cupcakes everywhere, but we also make cupcakes all the time (him more than me!). Cupcakes is our passion and if I were to give him one of these cards he would be ecstatic. It would be a great way just to also show him I care.
Cute cards! I would send them to my friend Ana, who loves baking as much as I do! These cute cards would brighten your day, for sure!

I would write to my sister, my mom, and my three best friends most definitely! I LOVE writing letters, with all this technology, people have lost touch of the personal aspects of writing to loved ones!
I would use these precious cards to write to my chocoholic best friend. She absolutely loves baking, and she just got married to a wonderful man who cannot eat sugar. I know they would both appreciate these too-sweet notes, and they are already sugar-free! I could even drop a Splenda packet in the envelope from CTtC!
I would put them in special places for my daughter to find...her nickname is cupcake so they would be perfect! The child even has a cupcake shower curtain for criminies sake!

i would send these cards to my best friend. she is the one who bought me a cupcake cookbook earlier this year, but she lives far away so she never gets to taste them! this would be just as sweet for her!

I would use these card to write to my best friends. We have all been good friends since kindergarten and now are spread out around the country for school. Last year, it was very hard for us to keep in touch because we were all so busy, but I promised myself that I would do better this year. These cards would help remind them all that I am always thinking about them and that distance doesn't matter for our friendship. I am known for my cupcakes among my friends so the cards would add an even more personal touch to the letters.
