Reynolds giveaway!

We're doing a giveaway with Reynolds for Halloween! Reynolds has introduced some pretty nifty liners that are perfect for Halloween (and beyond). There's orange foil cups and black ones (love foil cups!) and ghost-shaped foil baking cups (which, if you turn upside-down can be a witch's hat).

We're giving away sets of each. That's six packages total (or enough for 176 cupcakes!).

In order to enter, you'll need to tell CTTC and Reynolds how you'd use the cups after Halloween is over. Or, outside the Halloween theme. We'll choose the winner at random (via Random.org) on Monday, October 26, at 5 pm Eastern time. This offer is open to folks in North America only. Just submit your idea and contact email in the comment section.

Check out the cute Halloween trio Reynolds sent:

As always, you can see more about its products and ideas about cupcake projects here. I think the graveyard mudpies are particularly cute.

If you don't want to wait for the contest to end and want to buy the products now, you can get them all online here, or buy the ghost-shapes at your local Target.

Good luck in the contest!

I would probably try to come up with some way to incorporate them into my son's birthday in November. I am making it a pirate theme. Maybe make the ghost into Davey Jones' ghost of something.

Well.... I love these Reynold's foil shapes and have used them many times from Easter to Christmas - you never know when you need to make baked eggs or shapely Jell-O shots? And my niece love to come over and fill cupcake liners with sprinkles... hmmm maybe she's old enough to fill them with batter soon!

Those black liners would make great "over the hill" cupcakes. Now, the orange ones would help decorate anyones Thanksgiving dessert menu and the ghost liner could also be used as a cornucopia.
LSUTigers said…
I think that both the orange and black make great colors to use during football season. Also, the black is a great accent color for any color...pinks especially, it could make anything pop.
Anonymous said…
Wasn't sure where to register for the contest. But the black foil ones could be used with a black and white theme or black and pink.... orange the same way with brown.

The ghost foil liner could be an angel for Christmas, a cheerleader for a football game, a ballerina..etc

Cool! Well the black ones would be great for a goth party!

The 'ghost' shape actually looks like a cows head to me, so I would make those for my aggie friends.
Regular muffins or cupcakes for the liners, just for color. Orange is great for fall, and black..is always 'in' :)
I would use the orange to make turkey cupcakes. You could use candy corn for the feathers.
Black goes with everything, as others have mentioned pink, pirate, you name it.

well lets see, I've already baked the ghosts and love them, they are on my blog createdbydiane.blogspot.com. After Halloween, I would like to make pumpkin cheesecakes in the orange cups, Santa hats out of the ghosts-just turn them upside down and the black cups, well you know black goes with everything..so first I would make oreo cupcakes, then some pretty Christmas cupcakes with these cute silver sprinkles I just bought. I love cupcakes :)
Lisa Smiley said…
Very fun! These would be great for pirate themed bdays and perhaps "the ghosts from Christmas pasts" themed parties :)

Well, the ghost shape is perfect for cutting out cheese or pb&j sandwiches for lunch. orange is my nephews absolute favorite color, so those foil cups would be used right up around my house, and black goes great with everythinggg =) so cute!

I would use the black cupcake liners for a few different things...if you had a fancy party, themed with black and white, you could incorporate the black liners with that. You could use the black for a New Years party, or even at a wedding mixed in with again white liners or another color of the wedding. Lots of brides are using black as the color for their bridal party. Or better yet an over the hill party, or a graduation party! My high school and college colors were black and gold. The orange, you could probably get away with using them maybe for Thanksgiving, mix them in with brown color wrapped cupcakes. There's always a Cinco de Mayo party, a fun kids birthday, Nemo for example would be great mixed with blue. And any football themed party if orange and black were the colors too! I guess you could use them all year long. I just saw these in the grocery store the other day, and I should have grabbed them when I saw them, cause I went back and they were gone. Hope I win! Thanks!

I would use the ghost shape to make the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future!

I would def still use the black bc I think the black looks so sophisticated. I would still use the ghosts as ghosts tho and use it as a theme for something silly.

The cupcake liners are beautiful colors of autumn. I would use the brown and orange liners to make cupcake and put them on a cupcake tower to showcase the rich autumn colors. As for the ghost foil, I would use them during Christmas for a special theme cupcake for "A Christmas Carol". Ghost of Christmas past, present, and future. Works very well since Jim Carrey has a new film coming out; a remake of a Christmas Carol
the little ghost, when turned sideways, resembles a child's airplane character, also lip of the pans can be reshaped to resemble many things, including a tulip bloom.
Cake Devine said…
I would use them to make cupcakes for the upcoming Civil War (if you know college football, one school colors are orange and black). Otherwise, I will save for next Halloween!

I would use it for my little's sisters parties with her friends. Kids love colors and shapes like this. It will be fun either way.

The ghost could be a great gingerbread man-you could just do a little trimming after the cake comes out of the oven-then plop some icing on and no one would be none the wiser! The liners are very versatile. I would use the black ones to make a bold statement with an opposing bright icing color. The orange ones are fun for a little girls bday-all bright and cheery!
Dr. Ekas said…
I think black could be used anytime. Mix it with pink liners and you have a great combo for a girl's birthday. Orange will be great for Thanksgiving....I also live in Miami, so orange is great for Dolphins fans.
Brooke said…
I bake all year round with those colors. Virginia Tech's colors are Orange and Maroon, so the orange would be perfect for the parties we have. Black goes well with most colors, so I could definitely do my Black Friday Red Velvet Cupcakes. And for the ghosts, the ideas I have, have been mentioned. The cheerleaders, ballerina, ghosts for Christmas' past. Etc.

Anyways, you can contact me at totalpepsiholic@aol.com

I'd definitely use the orange liners for UF Gator's-themed cupcakes. The black lines would look super cute for a black tie event, and the ghost liners can probably be transformed into cute kids with their arms up over their heads celebrating!
I've been wanting to design a black & white cupcake tree, so the black liners would be perfect! The orange could hold Thanksgiving cupcakes, and the ghost liners perhaps could pass as angels and fit in on the Christmas table...with a little sculpting work;).

I would use the black liners for dark chocolate cupcakes and decorate them with white icing and those little silver dragees that seem to be illegal in so many states. The orange liners would have vanilla bean cupcakes and be decorated with whtie daisies. As for the ghost? I would have a Haunted House Party in July!

My color scheme for New Year's is always black, gold & silver so the black cupcake liners would be perfect for that occasion. The orange will look beautiful on a Thanksgiving table, the cupcakes could be topped with colored fondant leaves. For the ghost, it could be iced to look like a bouquet of tulips for Easter.

Black and Orange are the Philadelphia Flyers colors. I could make the cupcakes and put numbers of favorite players and no circles around other teams logos. It would be a great hit with my friends when we're watching the games and crying when Flyers give up three goals in five minutes (as they are prone to do).

The liners would make fun colored Thanksgiving turkey cupcakes and then even Christmas ornaments if any survived this crazy baking season. As for the ghosts-they would make great Angels and Christmas time! How fun!

The liners would be easy - my husband's favorite color is orange, so I could use the orange for cupcakes for him. For the black ones, I would use them to make some shabby chic-looking cupcakes for my upcoming purse party. The ghosts? I think I would cut the tails off, and then use them as noses. It would be hysterical!

the orange ones would make an appearance at easter or even thanksgiving! and the black ones... well those wouldn't need a holiday. those would be used year round!

Black & Orange can be used seperately and look very fall-ish. Plus- black cups are always nice to use and give your cupcakes a very clean look (especially when they have vanilla cupcakes inside!!)
And for the ghost cups- I'd make them look like leaves! :)

The orange and black ones I would/will use year round for sure. One of my specialty cupcakes is an orange cake with dark chocolate ganache and I think those would great with the orange liners. The simple black ones I would use with just about any recipe, but especially oreo.

The ghost I would use as cute base for a mermaid, for my daughter.

The orange and black could be used for autumn and Thanksgiving. The orange would work for my nephew's Seasame Street party next month. Kids like to interpret shapes to what they think they are, so it would be fun to make the cakes and let them decorate them as what they think the shape is.

Well, the orange ones would definitely be used on Thanksgiving when I make cupcakes for me and my cousin, the only ones in our family who don't like pie. The black ones I'd probably use on my grandparents' anniversary right after the new year. The ghosts ones...hmm, I think I can somehow incorporate them into a Christmas thing. Maybe angels. Maybe weirdly shaped snowmen. Something like that.

The black liners are always perfect for chocolate cupcakes and the orange ones would be the coolest with a pink or magenta frosted cupcake.
I'd use the ghosts as ghosts year round. Why not? You can decorate them for the season. At Christmas give them candy canes, Valentine's day they can be iced pink have a red heart, Easter they can have an egg and so on...

I would use them to brighten up two key Indian festivals - new year's and the festival of friendship! During new years, dessert consists of mini sweets which I could place in the muffin cups and distribute to guests. During the festival of friendship, it is tradition to throw powdered colour at each other to celebrate life and love. I would use the bright muffin cups to hold the colours for people to grab as they celebrate! It isn't cooking, but it still makes full use of the wonderful hues of the muffin cups!

My 7 year old daughter likes to make her own cooking shows. She comes up with the ideas and we put it together then video them for her. I would let her come up with a fun project we could record and make into a fun post halloween cooking show.

I would just use the cups for whatever else I was baking. So long as the treat is good, I don't think anyone will care what color or shape it's baked in.

BUT--the plastic containers--that's another story. I use mine for keeping my bead project materials in. They stack, hold a lot of beads, if necessary, and the lid doubles as my work area for picking the beads up on the needle.

I'd use the orange for thanksgiving and then I'd use the black for my oreo cupcakes! I'm always on the hunt for black liners but always come up empty! :(
Suburban prep said…
One of the best ways to use the cupcake liners is to use them as a catch all for a treat on a stick. The goodie that is on the stick if it has sprinkles on it might have a few sprinkles fall and the cupcake liner could catch them so as not to get all over the place.
Thanksgiving cupcakes, and the ghost can magically become a turkey!

Well I would be so happy to use the liners any time no matter the color. But if I had to choose, orange would be a clear favorite for Thanksgiving, and black can be used with a theme New Year's eve party. I already have Black/white/silver New Year's eve napkins. Perfect!

My husband's birthday is on December 3. Orange is his favorite color so I'd make orange juice cupcakes with orange frosting and decorate them with a candied orange slice. My friend Betsy also has a December birthday, so a luscious black velvet cupcake with black icing and a skull decoration in a black liner would please her goth side. Both would appreciate their own distinctive cupcakes. As for the ghosties, another friend just joined the local paranormal society. She also enjoys baking so I'd give her the forms as a "just because" gift with a fun batter recipe.

Oh, those ghost shaped tins could have so many uses! I could totally sculpt noses (with boogers, of course) for my boys, flowers or princess dresses for my girls, I *think* I could sculpt paisleys from that as well, although what occasion would call for paisleys, I'm not sure, although a retro-themed birthday party comes to mind...! Also, the black cupcake liners would be great for graduation cupcakes, or as individual servers for candy graduation hats (perhaps with little diplomas made of white chocolate shavings). I'm not sure about the orange ones just yet - I mean, aside from fall/thanksgiving cupcakes or decorations. I guess I could always go for UT cupcakes, although the liners are *exactly* the same shade of orange, I don't think it would matter much in the heat of the game day excitement!
