Earlier this month we reported that Brooklyn's Little Cupcake Bake Shop (LCBS) is opening a second location in Soho. I walked by the new place and the sign states that the bakery will open in Autumn 2010. The delay may be due to the fact that LCBS wants to ensure that the Soho location is also LEED-certified*. I'm sure tourists, Soho residents and cupcake lovers are looking forward to LCBS's fall opening.
*LEED-certification is a recognition that a construction project or building can attain by utilizing environmentally friendly building practices during construction or remodeling. LEED is the acronym that stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
