We know we railed on the name Babycakes for bakeries, but BabyCakes NYC is the original, run by Erin McKenna and offering refined sugar free, gluten free vegan cupcakes. And they've got a great newsletter (sign up on their site) and the August one tells us:
They're asking customers to vote for them for the 2008 VegNews Veggie Awards. And first prize is a "New York City Urban Getaway" including, of course, a cupcake break at BabyCakes NYC! (plus a flight to NYC, meals, subway pass, etc.)

We've decided to take the Internet by storm by making ourselves available via Instant Message! High-tech, right? You can IM the screen name: FrostingShots during regular business hours (Monday through Friday from 10-5) with questions regarding daily specials, business hours, etc. Unfortunately, we will not be taking orders over IM, you'll still need to use the good old fashioned telephone for that.
